A proven device to secure the rudder. Material is UV resistant plastic. Recommend to use 1/4 inch Dyneema rope with a polyester cover or similar to secure the rudder gust lock. You will need 30ft of rope total and you will have some left over.  The rudder gust lock will not scratch paint.   Five internal print processes to tailor the print to be essentially solid in the middle and more flexible at the edges.
